The Mercatus Center has published a new book of mine (co-authored with Matt Mitchell) entitled Applied Mainline Economics: Bridging the Gap Between Theory and Public Policy. This book owes its origins to Brian Hooks, but its completion to Stefanie Haeffele-Balch. Stefanie is an amazing colleague to work with -- as a scholar, as a teacher, as a manger of scholarly and scientific pursuits, and as a visionary of educational communication. Matt and I owe Stefanie -- and the entire Mercatus publications team -- a great big thank you for all they did to see this project through to the end. THANK YOU.
Here is the webpage for the book that has a more detailed descriptions and also information on ordering. If you do order, please do provide feedback and especially if you use in class let me know how your students react to the material and the way it is presented. While you are at it, don't forget the earlier book Mainline Economics: Six Nobel Lectures in the Tradition of Adam Smith and Living Economics, where I explain the "mainline" versus "mainstream" distinction.
