In a few days Las Vegas will once again be the meeting place for the Association of Private Enterprise Education. You can browse the conference sessions here. The participants come from a large diversity of universities and colleges spread throughout the US and topics range from how to improve the basic teaching of economics to the analysis of pressing public policy issues. I am currently President of APEE, but my role in this particular meeting is more symbolic as the Vice President each year is the real driver of the meetings (so that was my job last year). Professor Josh Hall of WVU is this years VP, and he has done an outstanding job of putting together an intellectual exciting program. Very much looking forward to enjoying the exchange of ideas with old and new friends. Hopefully, when it comes to the ideas at APEE what goes on in Vegas doesn't stay in Vegas!!!
