The Society for the Development of Austrian Economics has just announced the details on its annual dinner at business meetings at the Southern Economic Association meetings in San Antonio TX next month. Details are below. If you'd like to attend, please click here to email the Society.

The dinner will take place on Sunday evening November 22nd, starting with a cash bar from 6:30pm-7:30pm and then continuing with dinner and our program from 7:30pm-10pm. The dinner will be held in the host hotel - the Marriott Rivercenter - in Salon D, although the room may change.
In addition to the presentation of the FEE prizes and recognition of the Lavoie Prize winners, we will also have Emily Chamlee-Wright's presidential address "Qualitative Methods and the Pursuit of Economic Understanding" and our usual business meeting. The cost this year will be the same as last year: $85 (with grad students at half price). That price includes two free drink tickets. The drinks and the graduate student subsidy are courtesy of a generous grant from the Reason Foundation.
The menu consists of:
Rolls
A caprese salad
Your choice of:
Center cut NY strip steak OR
Atlantic salmon with green onion crust OR
Vegetarian strudel
German chocolate cake with burnt orange sauce and fresh strawberries
Coffee and tea

We do not take credit cards.
In order to meet the hotel's deadline for a guaranteed number, we need a response by Monday, November 16th if you plan to attend. We will also, as usual, keep a few extra meals for walk-ins.
Finally, please do not ask us to reserve you a space and then decide last-minute not to attend. We had a problem with a couple of people doing this last year, and doing so costs us the dinner if we cannot find walk-ins to take the spot. We have always relied on the honor system with this dinner and we would not like to have to require a deposit in advance, so please let us know by the 11/16 deadline if you have reserved a spot and know you cannot or will not attend.
Please feel free to forward this invitation to others you know who may be attending the meetings.
