The Society for the Development of Austrian Economics will have its annual dinner and business meeting at the Southern Economics Association meetings in Washington DC. The dinner will take place on
Saturday evening November 22nd, starting with a cash bar from
6:30pm-7:30pm and then continuing with dinner and our program from
7:30pm-10pm. In addition to the presentation of the FEE prizes and
recognition of the Lavoie Prize winners, we will also have Joe
Salerno's presidential address (tentative title: "Menger's Causal
Realist Analysis in Modern Austrian Economics") and our usual business
meeting.
The dinner will not be at the host hotel. Instead, it will be at the Marriott Metro Center, which is two blocks west of the Hyatt.
The cost this year is $85 (grad students at half price), which includes
wine at dinner. The wine this year is courtesy of the members of the
SDAE Executive Committee.
The menu consists of:
Dinner rolls, "Autumn Salad," Choice of:
Grilled NY Strip Steak OR Grilled Barbecue Salmon OR Vegetable Lasagna
Wild Mushroom Risotto,
Sauteed Asparagus,
Key Lime Pie
If you know that you will be attending, please send the Society an email and indicate if you prefer beef, salmon, or the vegetarian entree. Payment by check is accepted in advance via snail mail or at the door. Checks can be sent to:

In order to meet the hotel's deadline for a guaranteed number, a response is needed by Monday, November 17th if you plan to attend. And
should you reserve a space and then need to cancel, please do let the Society
know. As usual, there will be a few extra meals for walk-ins.
