It looks great, I will certainly be checking it out, and I've posted a link from my blog (won't get you much traffic, sorry Matt).

Although I get the sense that Matt is a very serious guy, his insights are frequently interested, and this should work well for a serious-type blog. I'm often disappointed that my favorite blogs don't go more deeply into academic and theoretical questions, and gloss over things.

The bloggers probably don't have time to spend with each post, traipsing through the really intricate reasoning behind a theoretical question. I have a feeling - which right away from looking at the first entries seems to be confirmed - that Matt will do this.

I encourage everyone here to give his blog a serious chance. It might become a favorite for some (even, maybe especially, if you often disagree with him; why do people bother to argue with him unless he brings up interesting points?)

Thank you liberty for the kind words and thanks to Professor Horwitz for the help in getting the word out.

I would encourage anyone on here interested in Austrian economics to give my blog a look. I want to talk about "Austrian" topics, and am open to changing my mind when good discussion requires it. I have no political or ideological commitments. This, I think, should make for good discussion. Liberty has already asked some excellent questions on my blog, and I would encourage others to do likewise. That is the whole reason for creating this blog. I am just typing out stuff that is already in my notebooks. But it is always nice to talk about these ideas with other people!

Thanks!

Excellent. I've often wondered where he got his ideas and interpretations from. Perhaps this will give some clues.

Nick, just feel free to ask! If you are interested in a sentence of mine, then just leave a comment quoting the sentence and asking for a more detailed explanation of it or the reference. I would be more than happy to help!

Congrats on getting the blog rolling Matt. Unfortunately had a busy Monday including catching up on the debate I missed throughout the comments through the last posts in this blog. I see you already have quite a few posts and hope to get to read through them soon.
BTW, you can upload your essays onto google documents and then publish it online through google so that you can link to them through the blog allowing your readers to read what it is your pointing towards.

Matthew: I got a kick out of where you are going with your new blog. Are you by chance related to Milton Mueller?
