Here is a nice piece by Doug French, a former student of Murray Rothbard. Recounting his first class with Rothbard, French writes:
I knew that this was economics the way it should be taught. Forget the graphs, equations and other nonsense I'd endured my first two semesters; this was: good guys vs. bad guys, human action stories told at the pace of a Robin Williams monolog, punctuated with the occasional cackle...
I had a very similar experience as an undergraduate with our very own Pete Boettke (absent the cackle - although Pete does a solid Rothbard impression...and a Lachmann impression...and a Senholz impression...and a ______ impression....).
