President Obama's Modest Proposal

Russ Roberts at Cafe Hayek offers a news item that you might not have seen:  President Obama pledges to make the skies perfectly safe by constructing a no-fly list comprised of every person alive on the planet.  Hard to argue that it won't reduce the number of airplane terror incidents to zero.

It also makes a good challenge for intro students to identify this as a corner solution and explain exactly what the problem is with this solution and what it implies about any realistic attempt to reduce the number of airplane terror incidents.
